What did i just draw? Well, it's a Kirin, also known as a Ki'ilin, Chi'ilin, Quirin, etc. Sometimes referred to as the offspring of a dragon and a racehorse, the kirin was a creature of great wisdom in japan. It was especially important in political history, for some of japan's greatest leaders were said to be chosen by the Kirin. One tale tells of a woman who was given a jade coin by one, and was told that her son would be a thronless king. She gave birth to Confucious, himself.
Kirin would occasionally show up in important court cases, and impale the guilty party so that there can be no punishing of the innocent.
Wooooow, try to beat THAT pegasus! >> I think that brown dragon is scheming... He'll kill us ALL! Run away, run AWAY!!
Very clean looking picture, Meli likez. Though I'd be scared out of mind to ride that horse/unicorn/dragon thing that I would XD Oddly enough, other then the wings, looks like a horse tat prefers water.
P.S Attention shoppers: MAMA LUIGI?! :U That is all. ( cuz I just felt like saying that. )
It's a kirin. It's what happens when a chinese dragon and a racehorse have children. It's basically like a unicorn.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same.
